Hello :)

i built a gaming PC recently, which im going to use to watch movies off also,

basically i have HDMI cable from my Monitor into the back of my PC via the Graphics card (Gtx780)

i always pluged a HDMI cable in from my TV into the back of my PC via the back of the motherboard

is there any way to switch to my TV via then back to my monitor? so i can watch films on my TV and play games on my monitor at my desk

Not with that set up.

The graphics card trumps the onboard video outputs. This means the hdmi on the back of your motherboard will not work. Do you get tv through your computer? You can do a dual monitor display but you would have to get a dvi to hdmi adapter so you could do hdmi to your monitor, if you have a dvi port on your monitor, then you could just plug it directly in without an adapter.
