Heya, I own a Razer Chimaera 5.1 headset, and I've always noticed that the audio seemed... off.
I recently just worked out why it was strange, as in movies, videos or games, the surround sound seemed to be reversed! Directional audio projected from the left actually referred to events within media occurring to the right, and vice versa. I have tried using regular earphones to test if it is my software, but that worked fine, so it is most likely my hardware. While I could wear them backwards, the microphone is attached on the front and the ergonomics are off.
So might I ask, is there a program or piece of software that I could use to reverse the directional audio of my headset, or otherwise provide a fix?
I've downloaded and installed Realtek HD Audio Manager in an attempt to fix this, but remapping the jacks won't seem to do me any good, as the audio still comes through in a reversed direction. This is likely due to the wiring in the cables from my headset to the PC, and I don't have the expertise to fix this via hardware, so is it possible there is any software out there which could allow me to relocate the locations of the side speakers?
