So I am upgrading my soon, from a Corsair GS 800 possibly slap in an AXi 860 (Bit of a tech stickler for have the best of the best ) haha.

Will be running (soon) GTX 780ti or a 800 series if I wait long enough.

All in all is it really worth it considering I will jump from 80 Cert Bronze to Platinum? And it will also be a hell of a lot quieter...GS800 isn't exactly nonchalant about it's job.

Yes, it most certainly will be worth it. I run the AX850 and I don't think I have ever heard it, and it is rock-solid. If you are a gamer, or you do video editing etc., the AX might warm up to where the fan was audible, but you can also control that rpm curve with the 'Link' software.
Gaming; your GPU fans will be louder then your psu fan.
