The graphics card I'm using is the Nvidia GeForce GTX 770, and the monitor I'm using is the ASUS VG248QE connected with the dual-link DVI cable (it's in the right port). I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro which is not activated yet (gotta wait until payday for that one). I have the latest drivers for everything, and I've even downloaded and applied Nvidia's color profile for this specific model of monitor. My resolution is set to native, refresh rate up at 144, but picture looks "grainy" and the edges of things have a strange sort of ghost outline. In games color transitioning and shading are not smooth in any capacity. For example: if you look at the sky in Crysis you can see "layers" where it turns darker or lighter. It is very distracting. Does anyone here know if anything can be done about this?

Colour banding is to be expected since its TN. I had a similar problem with mine, does it look grainy all the time or only in motion?

Ah, okay. Well that is disappointing. It seems to be more grainy on still images, I noticed it on the Bing wallpaper first. (I like their daily wallpapers)
