As always make sure you update your BIOS before any CPU upgrade. You may also want to check you motherboard compatibility with that CPU.

That being said Dell does not support upgrades to their laptops so you run a risk of incompatibility with the board and the second issue is the CPU cooler is designed for your stock CPU and you may have heat issues. Be aware of this before going into your project.
