Should be a great gamer. As well as handle most any other task you would want it to do. And, that eliminates your issue of bottleneck. Enjoy.

wtf, why do you need to upgrade that? get like a 780~ if it makes you feel better about yourself. lol, twice as much as performance compared to your current card. i can't believe it came with a card that weak.

you don't need a full upgrade dude.

The PC has not been touched since i got it over 3 years ago, it was originally 2x480s SLI but the heat from them burnt one out and the other has been acting strange sound going out of games and games flickering quickly to desktop.... Did not meet to offend anyone just not a pro on these matters.

Anyone else with ideas?

Hello Clutch,

I just figured in order to play Elder Scrolls Online fully maxed out I might need a 780, but then again... I am no pro just go by what I read.

So if you think that is all I would need? I guess I am just worried with all the sound cutting out and screen blinking to desktop while playing that my overheating 480s over the years may have damaged other components....

Cheers,

Oh. I didn't know you had a specific goal of maxing out a certain game and an unlimited budget. If that's the case, then get as powerful a card (or 2) that you can afford. There will be a point, however, of diminishing returns with the i7-960. You will eventually be bottlenecked by the CPU. But not being a fan of that particular game, I can only go by the min/suggested requirements: http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=3734&game=The%20Elder%20Scrolls%20Online

From that, it appears your i7 and the GTX 760 would be easily able to max it out depending on the resolution of your monitor.

Hello Good Sir Clutch,

Well what ended up happening is that my first Alienware I passed on to my better half (not a gamer) but she is a photographer and uses her PC to edit photos and all that kinda thing. that PC has simply stopped working so I am passing on my PC above and promised that even though a pretty nice PC I was not going to spend all that extra money and headache and would get my next PC built locally ala Memory Express.

So as of Saturday I made my deposit and the build has started hopefully will have it on Wed, let me know what you guys think and I thank you and everyone else for giving there input.

Thanks again guys!
