Why is the every GFX card is hotter than modern CPU?

I have Fermi (GTX470) GPU, Nvidia reference design graphics card and I install 2x120mm fans on side panel of my case (Midi Tower). My GPU temp is now lower for 10C:) about 75-80C MAX in Crysis 3 on full settings for DirectX11. Why GFX card so hot? Today modern CPU did not warm at this level...

graphic cards have more cores and more transistors than a CPU. They perform at a higher output level and are designed differently.
