Hi. I'm looking for some help, I have 2 files with the same file type. Say, they are Files A and B. Now, I want to open File A with Program A while File B will be opened with Program B. All I can see in the options is use a specific program to open a specific file type, I don't see any options to set it just for that specific file. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

Hi luxcaeruleus, Im afraid you cannot set a specific filename to run a particular program. You can only set a specific filetype to run a specific program(not unless there's a thirdy party program out there that can do this).

Anyway here's 2 options you can do:

1. You have to do it manually everytime you open a file(right click on the file->choose "open with "-> choose your specific program you want to open your file with.

2. Like what Giovase mentioned, you really have to change the file extension each running a specific application.

I think you can only set it up by file extension, i.e. each extension can run with a specific application. So, if your file A and B have the same extension, you are stuck with one default program for both.

Oh, bummer. I was hoping to make it like that so every time I open the file, it'd use one specific program. Btw, I was gonna do it with .iso files. Since most PS1 and 2 games are in .iso files, it also opens with PowerISo. I wanted for those games to open with emulators while the non-game .iso files would open with powerISO. Thanks for the answers anyway :)
