basically i'm kinda curious if having a weak video card puts more strain on your cpu?
like, if you have a weak card, and you're like watching youtube or a livestream or something, is that gonna use more CPU than if you had like a strong card? or does it not matter.

It doesn't matter. It may bottleneck and slow down the PC, but having one thing be weaker than another doesn't dump more work on other parts. At least not in the way you're thinking about it.

First, "youtube or a livestream" put very little strain on either because it is not trying to render 3d graphics like a game.

Second a weak GPU will not put more strain on your CPU unless you have the Physic Processing running through your CPU.
