i bought the card from a friend and started playing games on it , from the very first moment the game freezes like after 5-10 mins for a minute or two and sometimes for a long time. What may be the fault ?
my hardware is :
Intel Dual Core E5700
Motherboard: Dg41wv
Ram: 4gb
gpu: Nvidia gt 630 2gb

could be low ram in your system most gaming system have 8g of ram. also try using msi afterburner turn the gpu fan up to see if the gpu is over heating.

fan is on full speed , even when i am doing some word project it gets stuck for a while i am pretty sure this is not because of ram because for my old gpu gt220 it played fifa 14 on high without lag

4GB is enough for most current games. Even for more demanding games, 4GB will not cause a freeze.
BTW, I'm playing Crysis 2 and Battlefield 3 on 2GB of RAM with no problems at all.

Check the temperatures of the GT630 when idle and when under load. It may be your card is overheating.
And you said something about a used card.. Check the card and the fan for physical damage.

A fan making abnormal noise or clicks is an example of physical damage. You can check your CPU/GPU temps and load during games using MSI afterburner.
