I installed windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and the resolution was in 1024*786 and it was working fine. Once i installed the intel hd 2000 drivers from windows update it gotmessed up. not I cant set the resolution to 1024*786, it is stuck on 800*600. If I set it to 1024*786 the monitor says out f range.

Solution
Hmm my suggestion is don't always trust the updates from windows LOL...sometimes it's best to manually find the updates online on your own :) maybe type something like this "download hd 2000 drivers" on google :) hope that helps

that may be the highest resolution that your gpu supports. I know it seems funny, but when you first rebuild a pc, the resolution usuallly goes with that of the monitor, but once you update the drivers and gpu, then it changes to that settings that it will support. So basically, the reason why you can't switch back to 1024*786 may be because your hd 2000 may not support that resolution.
