Hello everyone! I am fairly new to this whole web hosting thing and I am a bit confused by some of the terms these web hosting companies are using.

In particular, what are site pages? I notice a lot of the companies offer 5 site pages, or 10 site pages, or unlimited (usually with a link clarifying that you can't go crazy with the "unlimited").

So what are site pages? I have an idea but I want to make sure I understand this. For example, let's say my domain is www.mydomain.com. Are site pages www.mydomain.com/page1 www.mydomain.com/page2 etc etc? If so, this seems like an awfully small amount of site pages.

I'd also figure that because these web hosting plans go from about $3.99 a month for 10 site pages to $5.99 a month for unlimited site pages, that 200 or 300 site pages probably wouldn't fly under the "unlimited" option would it?

Thanks in advance.

You are correct in your understanding as to what "site pages" are. Most companies like Godaddy charge you for both how many actual "web sites" (usually unlimited site pages) as well as how much total space you can have, such as 100MB, 200MB or unlimited. So you could have a web site with 1000 pages as long as you are not using up that 200MB of storage space they have allotted you.

Ah ok, that makes sense thank you. I was wondering that because let's say I wanted to run a website that featured textures or any image really. If I wanted to have 300 or so 2 MB images, each with it's own page I would be well over my allowed site pages, with 99% of my storage space unused considering most of the low level plans offer 100GB, haha.

Thanks again.
