Hi Guys,

I recently bought and installed some new components:
-GTX770
-Intel i7 4770K
-Asus maximus Vi Gene
-Noctua NH D14 cooler

My old components still in the system are:
-RAM: 4 x 2GB DDR3 PC10666 CL7.0 Platin. LV
-Samsung 1TB SATA300 32MB, HD103UJ
-OCZ GameXstream 700W
-Win 7 64bit

I'm still not happy with the performance. Before I'm attempting to overclock the machine I try to get the max out of it.
My goal is to play the game with 20-30fps with:
-PMDG NGX/777
-additional hardcore scenery (like amsterdam X from Aerosoft)
-REX4 HD textures
-IVAO online software
-All sliders maxed out (apart from light bloom(off) and traffic(about 50%))

Currently I'm getting around 11fps in these conditions.

My Questions:
-Are my components capable of delivering the performance I want?
-If no: what should I upgrade to get the performance?
-If yes: What should I do to get the performance (overclock)?

Thank a lot!

Cheers,

Jasper

FSX AI traffic is also killing for your CPU.
Try to run addon AI like mytraffic X, and set airline to about 20%, general aviation to 10%
Road & ship traffic are cpu killers, unless you really want them, set them all to "0"
If you want to use a bit traffic, don't go higher than 10%

Also try to overclock to about 4.4 à 4.5Ghz, with a decent cooler it's possible.
To reduce loadtimes choose to install FSX & OS both on dedicated SSD's

For your card run the Nvidia inspector to help choosing the best settings for your card.

Good luck!
