Whenever I try to open the Nvidia control panel, I get an error message saying:

"You are not currently using a display attatched to an Nvidia GPU"

I do not understand why this happens. I have installed the latest drivers, bios defaults to the card and its listed on the device manager. Also, my games run terribly, even though the card is high end.
Im on an Acer Aspire V3- 772G

System specs:
Intel i7 4702MQ 2.2ghZ
Nvidia GeForce GTX 760M
32GB DDR3 RAM
Windows 8.1 64 bit

The build in graphic card and the 760m are suppose to work with each other. Try going in the BIOS and changing the settings to build in graphic card and then try running the games see if they work fine. Also try lowering down your settings.
