these are my specs:

i5 4670k

cooler master hyper 212 evo

asus maximus hero

g.skill ripjaws x cl9 1866mhx 8gb red

wd black 1tb 64mb

aerocool x predator x3 white

corsair cx600w modular

powercolor r9 280x oc 3gb

optical unit

im struggeling between the choise of an ips monitor or a 144hz tn monitor. If i buy a 144hz tn monitor then i will need to OC my cpu and gpu but i heard that my psu can't OC very much. I get 55-70fps in bf4 ultra everything maxed out. So should i buy a new psu and oc more or not? I would like to get the most out of my gaming rig.

thanks in advance!

Pick your monitor first.
Then decide if you need to change anything.
The psu required is determined mostly by the graphics card.
An overclock will usually make little difference.

My take is to go for the better image and viewing angle (178/178) of a IPS panel.
But if fps means all to you, and you want more than the typical 60fps that is a different matter.

And... I would consider looking at a larger 27" 2560 x 1440 monitor.
Spend what you need to for a great monitor, it will be with you for a long time.

Im kind of more into an ips monitor, but there is no way i will get a 2560 x 1440 monitor, they are to expensive for my budget. But I thought maybe in 2 years i'll buy another 280x and instead buy a 4k screen. But I will have to waut and see.

Check out the Korean monitors.
I recently bought a Yamakasi Sparta 301 perfect pixek 2560 x 1600 monitor for $389 delivered.

On newegg, there are some nice reviews of the 27" QNIX QX2710 2560x1440 which sells there for $348

You can buy it direct via ebay for $319.

In two year's time, I am betting that you will find it more attractive to replace your 280X with a stronger 8xxx series card.

it's hard for me to buy a monitor from ebay with an unknown brand. How do i know the brand is good and that they have good support. And if the monitor comes broken from ebay then im screwed. I live in sweden too.
