Hello there,

Which one is better?
MSI GTX 770 4GB Gaming
EVGA GTX 770 FTW 4GB ACX
Where I live the EVGA GTX 770 FTW 4GB ACX costs €55,- more (€380,-).
Is the EVGA GTX 770 FTW 4GB ACX also as easy as the MSI to overclock? I know that with the MSI you only need to click on a few buttons.
Or is the EVGA GTX 770 4GB ACX Cooler better? It costs €10,- less then the FTW edition.
Or is the MSI GeForce GTX 780 Gaming worth it for €420,-? That's €40,- more then FTW.

Thank you :D

You say the evga costs more? Even if they were equal I would go MSI but since MSI is cheaper definitely go with the MSI gaming. The twin frozr cooler that MSI uses on that card is fantastic

There is a lot of marketing going on in graphics cards.

1. More vram sells. But...4gb of vram does not seem to have any performance benefit over 2gb.

2. Graphics card vendors are wise to overclocking.
They bin the chips, and the best ones are used in their factory overclocked cards so they can get more for the cards.
As a rule, I think you get fair value from the factory overclocked cards. The ECGA FTW and superclocked versions are such cards.
3. Aftermarket coolers sell. They look cool, and some, like those on the R9 cards are actually necessary to allow advertised performance. For the nvidi cards, fancy coolers are not necessary. The stock titan blower type coolers do a decent job. Particularly in a case where they get the heat out the back more directly.

Past that, look at support. In the US, EVGA has a good reputation, and an active support forum.

But later I want to use multiple monitors. So should I get MSI or EVGA FTW?

The cards perform equivalently, take your pick.

If you mean multi monitors attached, but only one used for gaming, you are good.
side monitors do not add any load.
If you mean triple monitor gaming, then you will need lots of graphics power. SLI GTX770 or GTX780ti class.

I fully agree, MSI's Twin Frozr cooler is one of the best out there atm. I fully recommend the MSI GTX 770
