Before I got my SSD, I had my system installed on the 1 TB Seagate ST1000DM003 HDD. Since I now have the SSD as my boot drive the Seagate is my "data" drive. It has performed very well in both scenarios: quiet, reliable and VERY fast! Highly recommended! http://www.seagate.com/files/staticfiles/docs/pdf/datasheet/disc/desktop-hdd-data-sheet-ds1770-1-1212us.pdf

WD Blue drives have very unstable heads, I'd recommend going with Seagate Barracuda. WD black would be my top pick, some places may carry black WD for under 100$ for 1TB
Hmmm, I'd choose WD Black myself. They have five year warranties.
If that's too much, a WD Blue. I've used a fair number of those, and none ever had "unstable heads;" not sure where that came from.
