Monitor Brightness Stuck on Lowest Setting

I have a Sceptre X24WG monitor that is usable, but stuck on the lowest brightness setting. If I use the menu / OSD to try to change the brightness it shows a bunch of 0s for the value, and the monitor's software freezes. The menu becomes permanently on screen, and all monitor buttons stop functioning. The only thing I can do is unplug the monitor and plug it back in.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there anything I can do to get the brightness back to normal?

That seems like a newer model, did you contact the vendor for support?

Did you try resetting the whole thing to factory defaults? Are you using any type of energy management software on the computer? I ran into a bug in some Lenovo power management software that lowered the brightness on the monitor this way, with no way to change it on the monitor without a full factory rest of the monitor and removing the software from the computer.
