In general terms I love CM products, I have a 690 which is a freaking solid case, a Hyper 212, and a 212+ which give amazing performance for a low price.

However I always had a common issue with all them, the fans started giving problems after just a few months, making horrible noise or even stopping working.

I have had generic cases and cooling systems that have been in use for years without this problem, which makes me doubt about the reliability of CM fans.

What's your guys experience?

Thanks!

NZXT wouldn't be much better lol I don't understand Cooler Master. They make really good CPU coolers/fans, but can't get chassis fans right.

Corsair, Noctua, Cougar and be Quiet! fans would be the best bet.

Don't buy fans that use a sleeve bearing especially when the fan is to be mounted horizontally. When the lubricant dries out it will squeal or seize up.

FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing) or some other equivalent bearing technology or dual ball bearing fans will generally last much longer without squealing or seizing up and can be mounted in any orientation.

Thank you guys, I wish they add some decent fans on their cases and coolers.
I think I will be skipping CM till then.
