Hi, as the question states, I have 2 4670k's and I need to return one, both are not the best, maximum clock speed with a evo 212 is 4.3, but both do it very differently;

Chip "A" is stable @1.250v with max temps about 80c in aidi, and has a cinbench score of 7.35.
Chip "B" is stable @1.299v with max temps about 78c and has a cinibench score of 7.38.

I'm waiting for delivery of an H100i and wondered which would have the most potential for high overclocking?

Also, Chip "A" was near stable (6 hours+ on aidi64) @1.299 and Chip "B" could go as high as 1.325 and not top 81c.

Thanks in advance.

I'd take chip A. You can control temperatures with better cooling solutions easier than you can control a chip needing higher voltages.

Either seem like gems compared to the horror stories I've heard. :lol: I don't think you can go wrong either way.

Thanks for the quick response, I had thought Chip"A" might be best, hopefully it's go higher on lower voltage, it was just the better cinibench score that had me second guessing.

Cheers for the help.
