Will a PCIE-x16 3.0 GPU work in a PCIE-x16 2.0 slot?

Hey!
I would like to get a GeForce 750 TI card soon.
My motherboard has PCIE-x16 2.0 slots though.
Will a PCIE-x16 3.0 GPU work?

Yes PCI-e 3.0 is backward compatible with PCI-e 2.0. It just means that the card will work at PCI-e 2.0 speeds, which isn't a big deal since no single card is able to saturate PCI-e 2.0.

yes it will work fine and it wont effect the performance at all so you are good to go with 2.0 slot.


Ok, Thanks! From what I have read the performance decrease of 2.0 will only be 1% at most.
