Hi first time posting. I've been having issues with my Hp Pavilion dv6 after downgrading from windows 8 to windows 7. When i first start up I get the HP start up screen but when trying to access bios or continue with a normal start up i get a black screen with a unblinking white dash in the upper left. I've had this issue before i upgraded to windows 8 but was able to solve it by setting my computer to hibernate when i shut it off. This is no longer the case I've have tried this and no longer works. (I had no start up issues with Windows 8 but hated the interface,so i downgraded.) I do get it to start up properly if i leave it off over night and comeback to it later in the day. Is this a problem with the OS or Hard drive, and how can i resolve this issue?

-Thanks for your time
