So today i was trying to get to the social club log in to work. So i went to YouTube to figure it out and they said to rename the file paul.dll to something different so i renamed it to Joe cause its my name. So i try to go online but it doesn't work so i rename it back to paul.dll and after about 4 hours of waiting social club is back online. So i log in and play the, Rockstar logo shows up but right before the main screen it minimizes but doesn't crash. I can re-open the game and play but it crashes a couple minutes after that and its a repetitive cycle. Is there any way i can fix this without re-installing the game? *NOTE* i have updated my graphics drivers and everything.

I think paul.dll is related to SecuROM,to activate and play...You can't just rename it...rename it back to Paul.dll (with a capital P) and is your game updated to v1.0.7.0? If not,update the game and then try logging in.One thing more,you have to install all patches before v1.0.7.0,ie v1.0.1.0 to v1.0.6.0 before installing patch version 1.0.7.0...Hope this helps.
