I was playing BF4 and was monitoring the heat in the computer with "Speed Fan", all of a sudden my screen went black then the monitor came up with the "lost signal" screen. It was unable to find my monitor. I'm assuming my graphics card fried but am not sure. Any ideas?

I was wondering what would be a "high" but tolerable temperature for the CPU, etc. within the computer? I was running right at 119 F. If it's the temp then what would I look for.

Also, any ideas if you don't think it's the temp.

IBUYPOWER
AMD Radeon HD8670D
ASRock MoBo (FM2A75M-DGS
AMD Hudson 2 Chipset
8gb DDR3 RAM
Quad Core
1 TB HDD 0
1 TB HDD 1

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

did you mean celcius, im not familiar with that program but most monitor in celcius...if it is farenheit it is in operable temps. it is around 49c and that is a normal underload temp for an apu

if you didnt mean celcius follow this

dl and install http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/display_driver_uninstaller_download.html
power down
power up into safe mode
uninstall graphic drivers new and old using tool
power down
power up into windows
go to amd's site to dl drivers

may just be a driver issue

Hi! Thanks for the quick reply.

I converted it to Fahrenheit. Speed Fan has that option setting.

I can't view anything on my monitor so I'm not sure how I'll get the driver uninstall/install program to function. Either way, I'll goto the guru3d website and dload the program. How would I get the computer to power up in safe mode if I can't view the monitor though? Not sure how to go about that.

I'll dload the file from of my laptop to a cd and bootup with the cd.

no problem!!
well the thing is that you are running on intergrated graphics so its if it a problem with the gpu its a problem with the cpu too.
have you tried different cables?
have you tried connecting something else to the monitor?
have you tried all the i/o ports vga/dvi/hdmi?

i will share an experience i had with them. i bought a i buypowerpc from their site because i was being lazy and didnt want to deal with rma's on bad parts and such. so i got it and it wouldnt power on talked to them about it and sent it back to them and it was a bad psu. so then i get it back and it started for about 2 seconds then shutoff. i opened it up and it was like an oven and had a funny smell i inspected the heatink and they hadnt applied any thermal paste so i just got my money back and built it myself... most likely something is wrong internally with it and you should contact them to not void any warrantys you may have

Yeah. I was hoping that wouldn't be the case. I'm one month away from the warranty expiring and I've called their tech line today... nothing. No one's working. That's when I posted my initial message. I'll recontact them on Monday. I was hoping to avoid the whole "pack it up, resend it" thing. I have a lot stored on the hard drive (most backed up on a secondary drive but nothing over the past 5 days). Thanks for sharing your experience. I'll give them a shot to make it right then I'll go from there.

Yeah, I pulled the second drive from it and have a note written to them to back up the primary. This is just crappy timing for me. I also got ahold of them via their website and got a ticket number (Friday after 5 p.m. no one working until Monday 8 a.m. PDST) so something might happen next week. I'm holding my breath they'll take it back and fix it. I'm trying to resurrect my old computer now. FYI- I put another graphics card in... an NVIDIA PNY-610GTX just to see if it would register... still the same results so I put everything back to stock and buttoned it up. I believe it's more than the onboard graphics. Thanks for your help! You were a great help but there's nothing that can be done here so it's out of my hands. Take care! Enjoy your weekend.
