i already have 2*2gb ddr3 1333mhz cl9 RAM installed in A1,B1 slots......and A0,B0 slots are free so can i install a 1*4gb ddr3 1333mhz cl9 ram in A0 slot without affecting the others performance?

by doing so will the dual mode of the existing A1B1 be nullified??
thanks

You want to install another SET of memory (two sticks) or else you'll drop to Single-Channel and may see some loss of performance at times.

If you can't get the EXACT SAME SET, then you should at least get one that has:
1) Same frequency, and
2) Same CAS

So again, YES, you would nullify dual-channel when adding a single stick.

*Once the new memory is installed, run MEMTEST www.memtest.org for one FULL PASS (roughly 30minutes for 8GB).

If you get errors, then test each SET separately in the two slots that your motherboard specifies when you ONLY have two sticks. No need to test individual memory as it's returned in pairs if you bought in pairs.

**You may need to change the BOOT ORDER in the BIOS (DEL on boot) so the DVD (or USB if...

On your mobo, I believe it supports flex mode, if so you can populate A1 and A2 with the 2 GB sticks and B1 with the 4GB stick (thus 4GB in ea channel) and run all 8 in dual channel, Flex mode looks for an equal amount of DRAM in each channel and runs that at dual, and any excess in 1 channel or the other in single channel mode
