Your cooler (whether it's the stock fan or some other means) could be failing. 95 degrees C is plenty enough to permanently damage the CPU, even for a short amount of time. 100C boils water. If you have access to another CPU cooler, give it a shot.

Up above is two instances of CPU overheating for unknown causes. The solution was solved in both cases.
