Few years ago I built my first computer with a 7950, I2500k and so on. I just managed to get a new job and looking into saving some money to build another machine at some point during the year.

I'm looking to build somewhat of mid sized PC. Originally, I wanted a mini atx but I don't want to be limited by lack of slots and space. Therefore, I am thinking mid sized. Anyways, I was thinking about maybe getting one of the "newly" released R7-9's or 600/TIs. I have been browsing through websites but I am not sure where they stand yet. I suppose that I am trying to figure out better performance for the price. I'll eventually figure it out but I'm hoping you could help speed things up.

Feel free to let me know what card you'd get for a mid priced system. I don't want to set a price limit on the card but maybe $200 could be the upper limit? Feel free to share your knowledge. Thanks.

For a limit of 200$, I'd say get a r7 270x. There's one on newegg right now for 200. It will give you the most performance for your price range

Not sure if you're talking about building a second machine, in addition to the first, or if you're trying to build an upgraded machine. If you're trying to build an upgraded machine, the R9-270X that was mentioned has the same pitcairn chip as the 7870, so that would actually be a step backwards for you.

He wanted a GPU for $200 bucks, that's as good as he can get for that price. Also, nice meme. I think he's building a new system and wants input on the GPU.

It works for a good starting point. There will be some variance (usually within 5%) on each level especially when you start overclocking.
