I currently have the ASUS M5A97 R2.0 and unfortunately it's not compatible with either of my GPUs. I need another motherboard and I need help finding one because for some reason I can't find ONE motherboard that is compatible with my GPUs. The reason that is, is because I have GPUs that are PCI Express 3.0's and for some reason I can only find PCI Express 2.0's. I have the GeForce GTX 760 and the ASUS HD 7770. At the bottom I have links to each one. I have an ATX case and an AM3+ socket. I only NEED 2 ram sockets but 4 would be nice. I don't care about how many SATA or USB ports there are. I would like to have an onboard graphics chipset but I don't need one. Thanks for helping.

A PCI 3.0 card will work on a PCI 2.0 slot and for GPUs there will be no loss.

Also why do you still use the Radeon 7770 if you have a GTX 760? They wont work increase performance together.

PCIe 3.0 is backwards compatible and will work perfectly on a PCIe 2.0 mb.

The GTX760 is an nvidia gpu and the HD7770 is an AMD gpu. Consequently they will not work together. Out of the 2, the GTX760 is usually the better card.

I'm not running them together. I just tried to boot with each GPU and got no display both times. I just found out from a friend that I didn't find any board because I filtered for AM3+ 99% of boards that have AM3+ don't have PCIE3.
Dustin showed me a board, awesome thanks.
Thanks guys!
