Hello! Today I switched out my amd fx 4300 to an amd fx 8350 (I checked and did a load of research into seeing if everything was compatible and supported and it was. Correct bios, socket size, etc.) and when I go into dxdiag and device manager, it still lists my old cpu instead of the one inside of it. I tried going to device manager and scanned for hardware changes but it did not work.
System specs:
- Windows 8.1 - 64-bit
- geforce gtx 760 2gb
- amd fx 8350
- resolution: 1440x900
- gigabyte ga-78lmt-usb3 rev 5.0
- directx 11
- 8gb ram
If any additional information is needed to correctly solve this issue, please do not hesitate to ask me!
Should this even be anything to worry about?

Alright I followed method 2 and it worked, and it now reads it. However, I look on dxdiag and beside the processor name (amd fx 8350), it reads the clock speeds for the 4300. the clock speed on the 8350 is 4.0 and the speed on the 4300 cpu is 3.3. When I look, it reads '3.3ghz' and not 4.0.
