I am building my first computer and have an Asus M5A99FX Pro 2.0 motherboard. When ever I try to boot it up and it runs through POST, nothing shows on the screen and the boot device led stays on. What should I do to fix this?

Solution
make sure the mother board is sitting on top of the standoffs. on the edge of the mb near the heat sinks is the eight pin power plug filled. look at the motherboard serial number label. the last four are the bios rev. the newest bios is 2201 if your is real low. download the 2201 bios and under bios tools download the bios renamer. put the renamer program into the same folder as the bios and run it it will rename the bios from 2201.cap to a name the usb flashback is looking for. put the bios on a usb stick and pulg it into the usb flashback port and hit the flashback button. you see the light blink for a few min and then turn off.

Try this, it worked for me:

"this may sound funny but ive had this happen a few times on my z97-A. To fix it I have to unplug my storage device, boot the pc, trun it off then plug in the storage device and it fixes it. It only happened to my when I changed out hardware and no clue why but it seemed to fix it."
