So I noticed the MSRP for this on the PNY webiste is $699.99 thouugh most online retailers have it at around 829.99. I just want to know why PNY versions of Graphics cards are usually lower than the others. I have read that some PNY gtx 770's 780's do not overclock well. but is that all?

most of pny cards are the stock pbc and cooler cards. under normal gaming they may be louder then the aftermarket cards or run slightly hotter. the aftermarket gpu have higher end fans to keep the card cooler and quiet.

$699.99 is the standard pricing for all reference GTX 780 Ti's, not just PNY. PNY is a very good value and when you buy a reference design card there is literally zero difference between manufacturers. A lot of enthusiasts will need to start paying attention to PNY, though. They are coming out with custom designs with custom cooling and upgraded PCBs and components. These custom PNY cards are also being released with the highest factory overclocks of any manufacturer.

The best thing about PNY is they have the industry's only Lifetime Warranty, good to know when you're dropping $700 on a video card. They're also an American company based in Brooklyn, NY, if that matters to you.

one thing also to add to the mods posting when buying any computer parts there also two other things to look at. one is how good there rma policy is and how fast they get an rma number to you. a lot of companies will have you waiting for days checking your email or jumping through hoops. the other issues is read or look online for how many of there parts fail over a given time. you can see it with any think today from a toaster to a car. old days sears kenmore was the pny name for home appliance. they under cut the other brands and lasted just as long or longer. same for the old craftsman tools. they were well build and had at one point a no ask return policy.

I did notice at Best Buy they have the same PNY 780 ti as newegg.ca but it is only $699.99 at bestbuy.ca. So that is cool if I ever got an extra 800 bucks to spend.

Best Buy will price match from within a select group of on-line retailers, including: TigerDirect, Amazon, Newegg, Rakuten, etc. When I bought through BestBuy.com, I priced matched with Rakuten, which had by far the lowest prices. What did I buy? A PNY GTX 780 Ti for $679. (My second PNY card, third if you count the RMA I received after a no-hassle return process.)

Oh cool.. So if you find the Home site of any part that has the MSRP price best buy has to match it? I have had issues with them trying to match prices from a Canada's Computers and Electrontics.
