Hello! I am in the process of building a gaming computer, and I've come to the hard part, picking my CPU!

I've always been an Intel fan, never really looked into AMD at all. I've done some research and found this FX-8320, 8-core processor.

My question is which will outperform the other? In gaming, editing, rendering, streaming, etc.

The graphics card I'm going to be getting is a GTX 660 btw.

Solution
paired with the 660 both of these chips will push it to the max the intel will have slight single core benefit but not enough( 5fps) to make up for the price difference .
also get the fx 8320 from microcenter its only 129 bucks
and when overclocked the 8320 can become a 8350 and is fantastic for what your looking at.
the 8320 will beat it in almost every category except giving up a slight advantage in single core games

Ok, what would you recommend? Also mobo wise, could you point me to a good one for the 8320 preferably under $130?

even though i really do not like some benches if you go through these you will see they are very close with the 8320 winning most and for 25% less thats nice if this was 2 years ago would have said hands down the i5 everytime but games are gonna only get better threaded but for the sake of it yes the i5 is slightly better in games no question 8320 in everything else

Okay guys, coolcole01 will get the best answer as I am most likely going to end up with the AMD route, price/performamce ratio is great.
