I've picked out all my parts for my first PC build, and I wanted to know if it was a good rig, and if it all the parts were compatible.

PC Specs:
Case: Rosewill THOR V2 ATX Full Tower Case
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 3.5 inch 2TB HDD (should I get two hard drives?)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Video Card
Power Supply: Corsair Enthusiast 850W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer

What suggestions do you have? Thanks

They are compatible but, You are undervaluing you video card if you plan on doing alot of gaming on graphic intensive games. I would recommend a GTX 770 which is the cheapest card on the market that can max out any game at 1080P with a good frame rate.

Ya, a beast system like that with a wimp GPU. I suggest what jeffryeson said. Later on down the road you can SLI the 770's. And instead of two HDD's (If you can afford one, but with that build I don't see why not) get a SSD. The bigger the better. I have two SSD's myself, one just for OS / Programs and other dedicated to just games.

A waste of money, at least in my eyes. I would rather get a $80 case and put the $30 elsewhere, but that's up to you.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
Horrible, horrible pick. 1) it can't overclock. 2) An i7 will NOT perform better than an i5. Buy an i5-4670k which CAN overclock and will perform the exact same as an i7 at the same speeds.

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Fine, though if you have a processor that can't overclock (the -k suffix) there's no point in a cooler.

Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Again, bloody expensive. Doesn't offer much that you need over a $150 motherboard. I would buy the AsRock z78 Extreme 4 or Extreme 6 to save money.

Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
More totally wasted money. 8GB of ram is enough to simultaneously run battlefield 3, photoshop, AND 30 tabs in chrome. 16GB is just pointless for gaming.

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 3.5 inch 2TB HDD (should I get two hard drives?)
Barracudas run hot and noisy. You should get a 120GB Samsung 840 EVO and a 2TB Western Digital Black.

Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Video Card
Seriously? You're building a GAMING computer and you spend HALF on the graphics card what you're spending on the processor? Come ON, dude. The rule of thumb is to spend about double on your graphics card what you spend on the processor, plus a bit more if you're overclocking. So look at a GTX 770 or 780.

Power Supply: Corsair Enthusiast 850W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
More wasted money. It's a decent power supply, but even with a 770, you only need a 650w power supply.

Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer
Meh. It's an optical drive. Consider if you even need it; if you install windows from USB, will you really ever use it?

Once games use more than 4 threads it gonna want the i7 for its 8 threads.. Just saying it's conning sooner than later.. And this is a nice set-up but Im curious as to what case your going to get to fit in the mobo you'll choose.. Is the asrock 6 going to last for more than three years??

^Why in the WORLD would you think that it's coming sooner than later? And why do you think a i7-4770k would help? Even if the game did for some reason support 8 threads, it would also have to support hyperthreading, and the i7's hyperthreading is nowhere near the performance of an actual 8-core processor.

On top of that, games are lucky to be dual-threaded, because they're mostly console ports and the average user only has a dual-core processor. Those that are quad-threaded are the exception to the norm. It's going to be a while before we have 8-threads being used well in a game, so why waste your money on it now?

I don't know why you say "case to fit the motherboard you choose" - it's just a standard ATX motherboard; any mid-tower ATX case will fit it just fine. And I don't know if you think the asrock extreme 6 is made of cardboard or something, but why should it last any less time than any other decent motherboard? It's a good option.
