Hello everyone,
I used to be a PC gamer for years now, but I decided to get a PS4 consol
the problem now is that I have a 26 inch BX350 Series BRAVIA LCD TV
http://www.sony-asia.com/product/klv-26bx350/sku/klv-26bx350+me6
but as it appears in the picture it is very high and I'm not sure it will be comfortable for gaming specially that I will have to keep distance because of the height.

the other is my PC SAMSUNG SYNCMASTER 2333 monitor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001314
but it has no HDMI port
and I will have to find out a way to make it work for both the ps4 and PC and an easy way to switch between them.

I'm not willing to buy another any new of them :)

Q1: which one is better in the matter of handling the graphics and giving a better gaming experience?

Q2: if the PC monitor is the better choice, How can I use it for both PS4 and PC?

Q3: if you have any other solution I will appreciate it, may be I change my mind if it is worth it.

thanks...

Here are my thoughts.

1. I've used both a 1080p TV and monitor for PC gaming, and the monitor wins it for me. The picture is much sharper (mostly due to the smaller size and higher pixel density) and the colour reproduction is more accurate. Colours on my TV look more washed out.

2. The PS4 only has an HDMI output. You can buy an HDMI-DVI adaptor but it won't transmit audio, so you'll be gaming in silence. Your monitor doesn't have built-in speakers anyway. Your only options around this are to buy a monitor with an HDMI connector and built-in speakers, or buy speakers with an optical digital audio connector (which the PS4). Be prepared to hand over quite a lot of cash for those mind you.

3. Can you not use the TV for the PS4 and the...

3. Can you not use the TV for the PS4 and the monitor for the PC? Obviously the PS4 controller is wireless, so unless you're tight on space, that could work better for you.

thank you bicycle_repair_man

well if the monitor is better then I will get an HDMI DVI switch box and switch between PC and PS4, and as for the audio, I'm used to play using headset which can be bluged to the ps4 controller which is wireless BTW and it'll be comfy.

No worries, sounds good to me.
