HDD: Western digital caviar blue 1TB
SSD: Samsung evo 840 250GB

I recently bought an SSD because my OS was really bogging down my HDD and was causing my computer to go unbearable slow. I finally managed to get my SSD to work but when I booted I have no network drivers so my wireless card doesn't work. Is there a way in which the SSD can pull information from the HDD such as drivers or do I have to install them on the SDD itself? Also where would I find my wireless cards drivers on my HDD. I don't want to clone my HDD as it is significantly bigger than the SSD's capacity.

Cheers!

If you do not plan on imaging your drive then you will need to download the drivers off the vendors website.

And what about when the driver is not on the vendor's website? For example, I am swapping SSDs on a Dell Precision T1500, but on support.dell.com, the only network drivers available for that machine are OS 32 bit while mine is 64 bit.

Then you go to Dells website and look up which network chip they used

Network Controller
Integrated Broadcom® 57780 Gigabit Ethernet controller
2nd Gigabit port is available with the optional Broadcom® 5761 PCI-E card

And then you google for drivers for that chip.

cake!

And in the future, please post your issues in your own thread. You can link to other threads you wish to reference.

Thanks,
Tim
