Component compatibility for the GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3P motherboard

Can I upgrade to CPU's faster than the AMD FX-8350 and GPU's faster than the AMD XFX R9 290 4gb in the future with the GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3P motherboard?
Any help is much appreciated.

The FX-8350 is the best cpu that mobo can support.
The PCI Express x16 slot is Gen 2.0 which is backwards compatible with Gen 3.0 cards.
The bandwith of your pciex16 slot will limit the newer graphics cards.
