whwere do i plug in the 1394 cable in the asus m5a97 r2.0 motherboard

not sure where to or if i can plug in the 1394 cable to my new motherboard asus m5a97 r2.0 and i am using the apevia x cruiser 2 case

Your MB does not have any 1394 ports: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A97_R20/#specifications

You'll have to add a 1394 expansion card, either PCI or PCIe, or get a USB 3.0 to 1394 adapter.
