Here's my build (my first build):

GigaByte GA-970A-D3P (9series chipset, AM3+ CPU ready, dual UEFI BIOS)

Cosair CX430 V2 CX Series 430W 80 Plus Bronze PSU

AMD FX - 6300 Six core 3.5GHZ 14MB 95W AM3 + CPU

G.Skill RipJawsX 2x2048MB RAM DDR3-1600 PC3-12800

ASUS AMD Radeon HD 7770 1020MHZ 2GB 1150MHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI DisplayPort HDCP PCI-E DX11 Video Card

I assembled the computer fine (I think) but had to reinstall Windows because I'm using the hard drive from my previous computer which was bound to the old motherboard. After reinstalling Windows and installing drivers for the motherboard and graphics card from the provided disks, I proceeded to install various programs to start getting everything ready for proper use. I shut down and restarted to install Windows updates and such.

HERE'S THE PROBLEM: I left the computer on while it was installing a game and when I returned I was unable to wake up the display and figured it was frozen (hard power off). After turning it back on it didn't flash the BIOS screen and went to Windows error recovery, and was unable to start Windows in normal mode (would show display problems and crash shortly after starting in normal mode;BLUE SCREEN). When I started in safe mode the display was terrible: there were colour problems as well as many bars across the screen. After shutting it down from safe mode and turning it back on it worked fine. And I installed some more windows updates which I thought may fix the problem. But when I left the computer alone again, the same problem happened when I returned and was fixed through the safe mode start up and shut down. So when I left it installing a game overnight, I came back in the morning, and AGAIN was unable to wake up the display through keyboard actions, with the mouse, yet it said the computer was on and the keyboard was plugged in. When I powered off again, this time it will not even start up properly.

Terribly frustrating! Please help as much as you can this is very annoying and I would rather know if something is broken or if I've done something wrong now than later ! Thank you
