Triple monitor configuration

Hi, What I wanna know is if 2 GPUs are enough and recommended for triple monitor configuration or are 3 better!? If you have 2 GPUs do you connect 2 monitors to one and another monitor to the other And if I have 3 GPUs do I connect a monitor to each GPU?
Sorry to bother you with all the questions, but this is my first big build so I wanna make it right! Tx in advance!!!

That card can have all 3 in it by itself. Or you can get two if you want, which should be more than enough. And configure it however you want, 2 in one and 1 in the other, or 3 in one, etc.

Tx Shawne, I have 3 Evga Gpus, I plan conecting one monitor to each one in 3 way sli with nvidia 3d surround, that would give me better performance than connecting three monitors to one or two gpus, at least thats what I think. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I just want the best configuration possible. Tx in advance for all your help!
