I dnt knw about logic of the psu power..

Post a link of your psu. 800W should also do it, given its a good one.

The gS 800 you selected is also good and OCZ is also good. I was just against the CX series. Seasonic will be out of your budget and cooler master is not recommended as a good psu (with some exceptions like vanguard series etc). OCZ is a good psu brand.

More wattage doesnot hurt your system. You can even put a 1500W psu in a system that require only 300 watts without any problems (minus economic problems). Its the lower wattage that hurts.

Both are good, since the OCZ one has more wattage and not high cost premium, also it is a an 80+silver. I would go for the OCZ. R9 280x requires 1 six and 1 eight pin power connector. It has 6x (6+2) so connections should not be a problem.
