I am currently planning to build a gaming pc with the parts listed above. Since this is my first time building a gaming pc I am not sure if this build will work or how well overclocking will improve performance so..... I was wonder even if it does work, what can I improve on this build without spending around the same amount of money since my budget is at $1000

Two suggestions:

- Change the CPU cooler to Cooler Master 212 EVO
- Change the PSU to XFX 550 watt psu if you don't plan to overclock in a very extreme way. It should have more than enough power, be cheaper and has higher quality components.

For $1000 I'd build an intel system. Im assuming you already have a HDD as you left it off the list.
