Essentially what I am trying to do is setup a system where I have one NAS drive at home & one at work... Backing up all work in the two locations, and setting up limited shared access to the 5 office computers. Hope is that I can break down tasks and work in a conveyor belt fashion while having everything backed up twice.
A single 4 TB NAS drive in both locations should be sufficient.
As for my project, I will be building a new home computer shortly and bringing my current one to my office. Without all the specs, you could classify this computer as a high end gamer with less graphics and more/faster storage.
New computer will be built with an i7-4930K ... I'm looking for the best motherboard option and since I have never used a NAS drive I wanted some suggestions on whether I need to build separate machines for these drives or whether I could just pop one into my new & existing systems to achieve the same result. (did a lot of looking around and found little info on how to do this)
Any suggestions, links to tutorials or good sample builds for the new comp would be appreciated!
