Hi, What is the purpose of increasing Voltage on RAM? i found the option to increase voltage on my BIOS. My motherboard is Asrock B85 Killer.

there is some RAM especially older sticks that require a little more power at higher clocks

The DRAM supply voltage can be increased to provide extra power to high speed modules that may require it. It can also be used to improve stability when multiple modules are used on the same channel.

Is it okay if I oc the RAM even when my mobo said max memory is 1600mhz?

You can certainly try, but your motherboard may not be able to configure the memory at a higher speed no matter how hard you try. Furthermore, memory generally has little overhead.
