Sorry I just need a place to vent. Spent $100 on a Radeon HD 7770 graphics card that was recommended to me by people on forums and whose reviews were great for casual gamers and people who didn't know much about computers. Installed everything correctly, my computer became slower as a whole. Games have dropped from my normal 30-40 FPS to 20-25 FPS on low-medium settings. Typing has become slower, even dragging and selecting icons on the desktop is slower. Many people on these forums and my friend suggested I get a new PSU because I might've fried my Xion 700W. So I went out this morning and dropped $60 for an Antec 550W PSU. Spent the last hour installing everything correctly. The computer is now slower than even before, all the problems still persist and are worse. As a result, I've spent $160 so that my computer can't play games I could play before on low-medium settings. I can't spend anymore money on this, I can't take this anymore guys.. Going try to return everything I can before I do any more damage.

I agree with the above. Slowdowns are usually software conflicts or corrupted system files. I'd use the Windows Security Essentials Scanner and scan the PC. if this turns up as 0 threats than download AVC (Advanced System Care) and clean your registries, and system files and junk up.
