Does An EVGA Superclocked 750 Need Enhanced Cooling?

The title pretty much sums up my question. I am looking at getting a GTX 750 graphics card and I found the EVGA superclocked version for not much more, I am just not sure if it needs extra cooling to be added relative to a normal GTX 750, or if it comes with enough cooling power. Any answers are much appreciated.

  1. The card has more than enough cooling built in with the stock cooler.

No it comes with a cooler that will perform just fine. You could even overclock it a little further if you wanted. I will tell you that buying the superclocked versions of cards is kind of a waste of money because you're really only paying for a slightly better cooler. Most of the time you can achieve the same overclock with a reference card and cooler.
  3. Reference coolers run much louder and with less success compared to aftermarket coolers.
Non reference cards also have custom PCBs most times.

Sometimes, i've had a few superclocked cards from EVGA and the coolers are nothing too special, in fact on this particular one the cooler is exactly the same as the reference. The board is actually reference too but they've turned off some of the CUDA cores to allow better overclocking potential.
  5. Im talking non reference coolers. EVGA W/ACX, ASUS DCUII, MSI twin Frozr IV. Not the blower coolers.

Yes... and I'm talking specifically about the one the OP is asking about. You just made a fairly broad statement that had very little to do with the actual question.
  7. I forgot to mention up there that I found the superclocked version cheaper than the regular gtx 750, this is why I was asking, I did not know if I would need to add cooling power to it.

Nope like we said, you're all set with what it comes with.
