AMD is known for cheap cpus

intel is known for the best cpus

i bought a 2gb gtx 660 at bestbuy for $120 during black friday
friend told me about the sale so he told me to get it

btw my friend have a 770 with SLi ready/support
the cpu have to be lower than 150
not $200 over like the 3570k

Some games take advantage of more cores, but a lot still don't. It might just come down to which titles you plan to play. If you're playing lots of Battlefield or Crysis 3, then the FX 6300 is better. If you're playing lots of Skyrim, Starcraft II, or World of Warcraft, then the i3 would be better.
