Integrated and Dedicated monitors?

Hey i just put together a new build and on my last build i had 1 of my monitors off of the motherboard and 1 off of my gpu. can i do that with an asrock z87?

I'm pretty sure you can, but I don't see why as plugging it into integrated GPU will still require the CPU to put effort for that monitor.

You can, you probably shouldnt. The graphics card is much better for running monitors, and integrated graphics are generally bad.

The thing is.. my 2nd monitor only has a vga and my gpu doesnt have a vga slot. Do they make vga to dvi converters or something? if not ill just buy another monitor. my 2nd one is trashy anyways

It depends on the card, most if not all come with a DVI to VGA adapter in the box.
You can just run that one until you get a new one.

No mine didnt have one. ill just run down to walmart and pick one up. thanks for the response!
