Will this graphics card work with my pc?

So I have been looking at a graphics card for my pc (Dell Inspiron 3847) and it has a 300 Watt power supply. The card I am looking at is the Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 graphics card which on the Nvidia site says it is compatible with a 300 Watt power supply and on the newegg site says 400 watt. Can I run this card on the power supply I got or do I need a new one? I'm not sure if I were to get a new one if it would work with a dell and my budget is a bit of an issue.

it is way more power than you need to run a 750 ti but it is the cheapest quality psu. it is a tier 1 psu and wont fail under stress and will be good for any system upgrades like a 770/870(or whatevers out) down the road if you want...

What about the amps? It does not specify what the amperage output is on the power supply, does that matter? I'm not sure i'm quite ready to oepn it up and check because it's screwed shut and is hard to access...

Well on the dell website it said 300 Watt. I am thinking I might just save up for a new power supply and graphics card but i'm not really sure what kind of a power supply would work in that pc, I also have a budget of $215.

How can you be sure what type of PSU fits in the case though? I'm not sure what the form factor is on a dell inspiron 3000 series which is like a month old and has almost no info on it.

Thanks, so I should now have 250 watts extra power for any hardware I need like that graphics card and a SSD that im thinking about getting.

yup i know its kinda over kill but the ones that are 30 and 40 dollars usually only push about 80% of what their rated and they use cheap caps that fail after a year. this one should last you a very long time and through a few pc's if you keep upgrading

Well since I now know power supplies aren't in the 100's now I might get a loan and step up my game to the 660 card.

Yeah, although on the nvidia website it showed a lot higher performance on the 660 compared to the 750. I guess that's just how they market stuff.

Evga is always good and I have used PNY before and they worked well. Also one question about the power supply, is it silent? because I don't like vacuum cleaners lol
