However this is my board, h55-gd65

The ram says it's compatible with 1155 socket motherboards and others but I don't really understand what it's fully saying.

My board is a 1156 socket, will this prevent me from using the ram I have linked? Also if someone has any better ram ideas please share them with me!

Update: forgot to post my current ram, Ripjaw ddr3 1600 2x 2gb sticks

Also I got an answer to the question from another source, it does indeed work with the mother board but I was told not to go anywhere over 1.65v on the memory above 1866.

Just needing to know what would be a great choice for two sticks of 4gb ram

Higher RAM frequency is better if you want to overclock, because high frequency means that they've been factory tested to run at higher speed, which is what happens when you crank up the multiplier. That's if you're overclock, otherwise I would not get higher speed if just gaming.

All this PC will be used for is gaming 100% of the time. I was told 2133 was the way to go. Specially if you plan on over clocking the CPU.

Intel i5-760 LGA I'm running this CPU, it's 2.8 ghz
