Multiple explorer.exe's cpu usage 100% when connected to network

Hi everyone

I'm running a windows 7 64bit desktop, when I am connected to my network and I look at my processes running, I have multiple instances of explorer.exe which take up all my CPU usage. I have tried running multiple anti-malware utilities like malware bytes, spy bot, super-anti spyware. I an unable to do a system restore as well. Any suggestions?

After hours of research i finally found the solution. I came across thread on another forum which suggested running kaspersky anti-virus. So i downloaded the trial version, ran it, and this took care of the problem. I'm surprised by this because I literally ran maybe 4-5 different anti-malware programs and none of them did the trick.

What did it find?? Why wouldn't Norton find it? I end up killing svchost.exe (the one that is maxing out the CPU) and the system returns to normal for a short while. Then goes back up to 100% CPU even if I do nothing.
